CircoSense & Renfrewshire Council announced as finalists in GO Procurement Awards

CircoSense & Renfrewshire Council are delighted to announce that they have been named as finalists for the GO Procurement Awards, which will be held on 9th November 2016 in the Marriott Hotel, Glasgow.

CircoSense have achieved finalist status in the “GO Procurement Innovation Award – Local Government” category in conjunction with Renfrewshire Council, who since the launch of the CircoSense3000 device have been a forward thinking collaborator with CircoSense. Renfrewshire Council were the first local authority to trial the CircoSense technology, which has helped them to achieve significant savings in both the cost of heating hot water and reducing carbon emissions throughout their property portfolio.

In addition, both CircoSense and Renfrewshire Council worked in collaboration with the Strathclyde Eco-Innovation Unit (SEIU) at the University of Strathclyde. With CircoSense providing the smart technology and Renfrewshire Council providing test sites, SEIU were able to independently verify the savings which the device achieved.

David Jolliffe, Managing Director of CircoSense, said,

“We are extremely pleased to be announced as finalists for the GO Procurement Innovation award in conjunction with Renfrewshire Council. The partnership we have created with the Council has shown the potential of public and private sector organisation working together, allowing innovative new technology to undergo real life testing. We look forward to the awards evening and celebrating with all the other finalists.”

Cllr Mike Holmes, chair of Renfrewshire Council’s Procurement Sub-Committee said,

“Renfrewshire Council have benefited greatly through partnership working with CircoSense. This has enabled us to install energy efficient hot water controls that have helped to significantly reduce our carbon emissions. The collaborative working will hopefully enable other Local Authorities to benefit from our experience with CircoSense”.
